IATA is the trade association of the global airline industry. Their 290 members account for 82% of the global air traffic. IATA was created in 1945 and has supported the development of the commercial standards upon which the global air transport industry is built. They assist airlines and air travellers by simplifying processes and increasing passenger convenience whilst reducing costs and improving efficiency.
