Kenyon Consulting Philosophy

For many years Kenyon has helped different industries and governments develop complete emergency management programs.  These programs include comprehensive plan development and implementation, experience based training, practical exercise/drill development and delivery, and crisis response program assessment.

Kenyon’s consulting services prepare organizations to respond and manage two types of events which most threaten an organization’s existence.  These are events which can or do cause the loss of human life, often the most catastrophic incidents possible.   The others are those that threaten or damage an organization’s reputation.

These events are hugely complex and cross every level of an organization.  They are also very visible, immediate, resource intensive, long lasting and involve multiple industry or government agencies.   They include a huge degree of human emotion.  How an organization responds greatly determines the ability of employees, families and other directly affected persons to recover and adapt to the changed situation.

To respond and manage these issues requires a resourced plan.   Responders must be trained on how to implement the plan.  Responders need to know what has to be done, how they will do it, and what to expect from others. Finally the plan, training and resources should be assessed and validated. 

Kenyon also understands and works with very diverse businesses and governments. Some who are large multinational operations and others who are smaller local operations. Kenyon tailors the response to the organization.  The tasks are the same when a single person is injured or killed or multiple people are at risk.  It is the scale of the response that is different.

Kenyon understands that businesses and governments operate in the real world, the same real world in which incidents occur. Neither follows text book outlines, schedules or expectations.  Therefore our consulting services are based on Kenyon’s response and involvement in over three hundred incidents.  Programs are developed with the mindset of not if they will be used, but when they will be used.
